ChatGPT sent every inquiry this site has taken

Luxury Cars of Dubai is our own property. We registered the domain, built the site in English, French and German, wired the tracking, and turned on Google Ads. Ten weeks later Google was showing the site 11,991 times a week, and all five inquiries that came from outside our own team arrived carrying utm_source=chatgpt.com.

The brief

Own the property, then prove the machine on it

Agencies are easy to judge on other people's accounts and hard to judge on their own. So we built one. luxurycarsofdubai.com started as a bare domain with no history, no links, no reviews and no traffic. The brief we set ourselves was to take a high ticket, high competition category in a crowded market and run the full stack on it end to end. Site, content, technical work, conversion tracking, and paid media, with nobody to blame if it went nowhere.

Dubai supercar rental is a good test because it punishes shortcuts. The category is full of aggregators, the demand arrives from a dozen countries in at least three languages, and most of the inquiry volume happens on WhatsApp rather than a form. Anything that works here has to work on real intent instead of clever attribution.

What we built

Four hundred pages and a tracking layer that survives a blocker

  1. The site. 423 published URLs covering the fleet, the categories, the price pages and the city context, each one mirrored in English, French and German. Live prices sit in tables on the page rather than inside a script, which matters more than it used to now that language models read pages and quote from them.

  2. The measurement. PostHog for sessions, funnels and session replay. Netlify Forms for the inquiry itself, which records the submission server side and therefore survives a browser that blocks every tag. Seven Google Ads conversion actions, split between the completed form, the form start, the car selection and the WhatsApp click, so we can tell an intent signal from an inquiry.

  3. The WhatsApp path. Most people in this market want to message, so the WhatsApp click is instrumented as its own conversion and fires from every car page, the header and the price tables. Each inquiry lands in a Telegram alert and a lead ledger within seconds of the click.

  4. The media. Six Google Search campaigns. Three high intent campaigns aimed at Dubai, Germany and France from July 7, then three model level campaigns from August 13. 346 clicks bought for an average of 9.43 AED each, at a click through rate of 17.6%.

Search Console reports 59,742 impressions and 21 clicks across the first 68 days, with 41,106 of those impressions served in the UAE. Ten form submissions have reached the site in total. Five of them are our own, made during the build and the tag testing, and every one of the remaining five carries a ChatGPT source. The people behind them were in the United States, France, Brazil, Spain and the United Kingdom.

The detail

Where the inquiries came from

59,742 impressions with 21 clicks means the site is being shown constantly and clicked rarely, because the average position across the property sits somewhere between 60 and 75. Impressions at that depth are a leading indicator of ranking progress. Every published page has to climb roughly six pages of results before those impressions turn into visits.

On the paid side, 5,720 DKK of spend produced 346 clicks and 5 tracked WhatsApp inquiries. Spend is billed in Danish kroner, so the AED figures on this page use one rate on one day, 1 AED to 1.7524 DKK on September 4, 2026.

The ChatGPT counting is conservative by construction. ChatGPT strips its referrer, so the only surviving marker is the utm_source parameter it appends. Every session that arrived without it is invisible to us and is counted as direct. The measured share is therefore a floor.

The site was built for Google and Google is still deciding. ChatGPT started sending buyers first, and it sent every one of them.

What happens next

Three things we are watching

The first is whether the ChatGPT share holds as paid volume returns. A rising share on falling traffic proves less than a rising share on rising traffic, and the two weeks either side of the pull mix both. We report the last complete week for that reason.

The second is the WhatsApp click. It is the primary conversion on this account and it lives entirely in a browser tag, so a blocked visitor takes their inquiry with them and leaves no record. A server side hop is the fix and it is specified. Until it ships, every WhatsApp number on this page is a floor.

The third is the climb. 285 pages are already earning impressions from a standing start, which is the part that has to keep compounding. If the average position moves from the sixties into the twenties, the same impression volume turns into a different business.

Let's talk

Where do your inquiries really come from?

We start with the tracking, because most accounts cannot answer that question honestly. Then we tell you what each channel really bought.
