Client context

The client

The client is a modern prestige beauty studio that specializes in facial grooming, brows, lashes, lips, eyes, and skin, with locations across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. It is anonymized here at its own request, so this page carries the account numbers and the shape of the work and leaves the name out.

The studio has earned coverage in the region's fashion and beauty press. Patients book through a free consultation, an online booking system, and, most often, WhatsApp. This is a high value aesthetics business where the number that matters is the booked appointment rather than the click, which makes it an ideal test of how we run a clinic account.

The situation

What we inherited

The studio ran two separate Google Ads accounts, one for the UAE and one for Saudi Arabia, both billed in AED. The structure was broad and Performance Max heavy. It bought a large volume of cheap, loosely matched clicks and counted plenty of soft actions, so the traffic looked impressive while the booking quality was diluted.

The account could tell you how many clicks it bought. It could not tell you how many patients booked, because the WhatsApp and online booking activity that drives this business was not wired into Google at all.

What we did

The rebuild

  1. Rebuilt both accounts onto a dedicated Search structure organized by treatment, microblading, brows, lips, lashes, skin, and grooming, and by city, so each intent had its own campaign and its own bid.

  2. Retired the legacy Performance Max campaigns, deliberately trading roughly two thirds of the click volume for high intent searches. We chose to reach fewer people who were closer to booking.

  3. Cut Saudi Arabia over to the new structure in December 2025, then moved the UAE across January and February 2026, running the UAE at 50/50 old and new in January before going almost fully Search in February.

  4. Brought full conversion tracking live for both the WhatsApp line and the online booking system between March and May 2026, so the booking funnel became visible end to end inside the accounts.

  5. Set up weekly search term and keyword cleanup to keep low intent and irrelevant traffic out as the accounts scaled.

Confirmed bookings, H1 2025 vs H1 2026, both markets combined. 6,972 to 10,502.

In six months, confirmed bookings across both markets rose 51%, from 6,972 to 10,502, and inquiries rose 66%, from 9,795 to 16,264. The cost per booking fell from 32.1 to 27.7 AED even as booking volume grew, and total H1 2026 media spend across both markets was 290,700 AED.

The April to June quarter became the strongest booking period in the studio's history, with UAE bookings up 36% and KSA bookings up 40% against the previous quarter. Up to 76% of WhatsApp inquiries for the strongest treatments converted to a booked appointment, measured on the studio's own backend, against 42% on the second market's signature treatment over the same period.

What made the difference

Why it worked

Two moves did most of the work. The first was structure. By splitting Search into treatment and city, every bid started to reflect the value of the treatment and the intent of the searcher, so budget flowed to microblading and brow searches from patients ready to book rather than to broad terms that only looked busy.

The second was measurement. Once WhatsApp and the online booking system were wired into the accounts, Google could finally see the inquiries and bookings the studio actually produced, and the bidding could chase them.

The Saudi account is the clearest proof of the principle. We held spend almost flat, up just 3%, and still grew bookings 23% and cut the cost per booking by 16%.

That is what happens when an account stops paying for reach and starts paying for patients.
