The Totem Method

The way we run an account

Six principles run under every account we take. They are not a sales framework with a clever name. They are the small number of things that, done well and in order, turn a media budget into signed cases, booked jobs and sales, and done badly, turn it into a busy report that changes nothing.

01

Intent before impressions

Reach is the easiest thing to buy and the easiest thing to waste. A broad campaign will happily spend your budget putting your business in front of people who are curious, comparing, or simply not ready. We spend first on the searches that signal someone is close to hiring or buying a specific service in a specific city, and we hold budget back from the broad terms that only look busy in a report.

This is why our accounts are structured by service and by city from day one. It lets us bid what a signed case, a booked job or an order is actually worth, and it stops the account from averaging a high value searcher and an idle browser into one meaningless cost per lead. Intent is the first filter, and getting it right makes every later step cheaper.

+51%Bookings

On the aesthetics studio's accounts we retired a Performance Max heavy setup and traded roughly two thirds of the clicks for high intent Search. Bookings rose 51%.

02

The landing page is the campaign

A campaign is only as good as the page it sends people to. You can win the auction, pay for the click, and still lose the customer in the first five seconds because the page is a generic homepage that makes them hunt for the one thing they searched. Most wasted spend is not in the bidding. It is in the gap between the ad and the page.

So we treat the landing page as part of the media buy. We build a page for the service or the category, with the credentials, the proof, and a contact or checkout step suited to how the customer wants to reach you. Then we track it the same way we track the campaign, so the two improve together.

For DentalDate in Dubai we built two landing sites with a page each for TMJ, Invisalign, metal braces, and kids' braces, instrumented with session replay and heatmaps.

03

Track to the signed case

The click is where measurement begins. The signed case, the booked job, the paid order and the attended appointment are where it ends, and those are the numbers the owner actually lives on. An account that stops counting at the click, or at a soft form start, is optimizing toward the wrong finish line no matter how clever the bidding is on top.

We wire every inquiry channel into the account, phone, form, chat, checkout, and the booking system, and where the business can share it we feed outcomes and value back into Google. In the US that mostly means calls and CRM data. In the Gulf it means WhatsApp, which most accounts cannot see at all. Either way, the account learns from what actually closed.

76%

On the aesthetics accounts, up to 76% of WhatsApp inquiries for core treatments became booked appointments (client's own backend, Jun-Jul 2026).

04

Never scale before signal

The fastest way to waste money is to pour budget onto a campaign before it has produced enough real outcomes to trust. Early data is noisy, and a bidding strategy given a big budget and a thin signal will chase ghosts. Patience here is not caution for its own sake. It is the difference between scaling something that works and amplifying something that does not.

We wait for a campaign to prove it produces cases, jobs or orders, then we widen it deliberately. When a campaign generates clicks without outcomes, we restructure it rather than feed it. This discipline is unglamorous and it is why our accounts tend to get more efficient as they grow instead of less.

Norlii

2xSales

For Norlii, a Nordic lifestyle brand, sales doubled in a short time after we took over Google Ads, in the CEO's own words. We widened what had proven itself and held everything else.

05

Senior operators only

You get a senior person on your account, not a junior passed the file after the sale. We keep the team small and the roster capped on purpose, because accounts with expensive clicks reward judgment and attention more than headcount. The person reading your search terms and setting your bids is the person who understands your cases, your jobs, your products and your market.

We work from Copenhagen and Dubai, and we take a small number of accounts at a time. That is a deliberate limit. We would rather do excellent work for fewer businesses than spread thin across many, and it means the owner talks to someone who actually knows the account rather than an account manager reading from notes.

We specialize in lead generation and ecommerce, so we never learn the basics on your budget.

06

AI runs the checks and humans make the calls

We built our own layer on top of the accounts we manage. It runs the weekly health checks, watches budget pacing, and queues the search terms and anomalies a person should look at. It does the repetitive reading so nothing slips through the cracks between reviews, and so our operators spend their hours on judgment rather than on scrolling reports.

Every decision that carries money stays with a human. Bids on thin data, campaign strategy, ad policy calls, and anything a customer will see are made by a senior operator who owns your account. The AI is real tooling we run in house on every account, and it is a speed layer under the work, not a replacement for the person doing it.

Our take on AI

Let's talk

Let's look at your marketing together.

Where we work

Two cities, one team

  • Local time

    Copenhagen

Our European base, and where a good deal of our strategy and reporting is built. It anchors our work with clients in Europe.

  • Local time

    Dubai

Closest to our Gulf accounts, where the aesthetics results come from and where the WhatsApp first inquiry reality is second nature.

The team

Who we are

We are a small, senior team that runs Google Ads, ChatGPT Ads, landing pages, and tracking for lead generation and ecommerce businesses, from law firms, home service companies and clinics to ecommerce brands. We are not a 200 person agency, and we do not pretend to be. We are the specialists you hire when you want the person on your account to understand your cases, your jobs and your market deeply, to build the page as carefully as the campaign, and to tell you the truth about your numbers. We cap our roster because attention is the product. If we are not the right fit, we will say so.

If this is how you want your account run, let us take a look at it.
